Gamma Mind Experiment - Participant #2
July 4th, 2007
Here are some reports from one of the other participants in the Gamma Mind Enhancement Technology Experiment. These are her reports from Days 2 through 5. You can read her report from Day 1 here.
Day 2
I had a lot of distracting mind chatter yesterday during the session; couldn't seem to settle down enough to notice any physical sensations or anything at all like that during the session.
I did have that softness feeling afterward for a short time like the day before though.
No noticeable change in anything last night or today.
Day 3
I felt the same "awareness" of the front area of my head/brain as I felt the other day, about half way through the track. I felt like I was able to get slightly more calm than the day before. Still having trouble turning off my mind chatter though.
I'm not really noticing anything different during the rest of the day or the following day.
Day 4
This was my most restless session ever. I couldn't shut my mind off at all and it just wandered for the entire session and it was difficult to remain listening for the whole time because of it. I'm going to try a breathing or meditation technique during my next session and see if that helps. The restlessness was so much that I really couldn't get a feel for if anything was feeling different physically.
Day 5
This session was a lot different from the previous few. I tried to focus on my breath more and that helped me to be less restless during the session.
I definitely feel something happening in the front part of my head while I'm listening. It's a hard feeling to describe. This time it seemed like it covered more area than the previous sensations I had gotten; it seemed to go from one temple and make an entire arc of sensation to the other temple. I also notice it seems to be stronger feeling on the left side, but that may have been due to the fact that the light from the other room was coming in at the right side of me so it was darker and more still on the left, I don't know.
I also noticed I could feel the headphones more, like I just had more overall sensitivity from my ears up.
The 30 minutes went by a LOT faster than before. I didn't find myself anticipating the end and felt much more calm and relaxed.
No notable changes throughout the day though.
