Gamma Mind Enhancement Experiment - Day 2

June 16th, 2007

After Day 2 of the Gamma Mind Enhancement Experiment, there aren't many new results to report. Most of the results I described in the original article take at least a few weeks and sometimes a few months to appear, so I'm not expecting anything extraordinary to happen this early in the game.

I used the technology for 30 minutes again last night, beginning at 10:10 p.m. and ending at 10:40 p.m. The physical effects during last night's session were similar to what I experienced on Day 1. The same tingling sensation occurred. The pulsing sensation also occurred again, though it was milder than it had been the previous night. It's possible it only seemed milder because it was no longer a novel sensation for me. Having experienced it the night before, I was more prepared for it the second time around.

There were no distinct mental or emotional effects during the second session, but I had unusually intense dreams again last night. The dreams were extremely vivid — my dreams usually are — but the level of intensity of the dream events was much higher than usual. I haven't made any other changes in my lifestyle that could explain the sudden onset of such intense dreams, so if this keeps up every night during the experiment I'll be inclined to attribute it to the technology. But, as I mentioned yesterday, it's still too early to tell for sure whether or not the technology is the cause.
